Dr. Mukund Sarda, Dean of Law faculty of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University became the Principal of Law College in the year 1991 at a very young age of 25 years.
Dr. Mukund Sarda led the delegation of six students and two faculty members to participate at Harvard United Nations Model Conference at Harvard University, Boston, USA, in 2010. Recently, he was also invited to present a paper on "Aviation Law : International Perspectives" by Beihang University School of Law, Beijing, China.
Dr. Mukund Sarda is triple gold medalist at LL.B., LL.M, and Ph.D. His academic excellence is acclaimed by the experts in the field of law. He had the rare honor of being invited at Oxford University on 18 March 2009 to deliver lecture on "Media & Law". He had also attended the 57th National Prayer Breakfast at Washington DC in February which was addressed by US President Barrack Obama and Tony Blair, former prime minister of UK. The national prayer was attended by more than 5000 delegates from 180 countries all over the world. Prof.Dr. Sarda also visited American Bar Association, Loss Angeles Bar Association, Supreme Court of State of Hawaii and various Universities in Washington, New York and Los Angeles. He was received by Justice Moon, the Chief Justice of Supreme Court of Hawaii, United State of America.
His illustrious academic career has many glorious chapters. His passion for the growth of New Law College is evident from the fact that the legends of Indian Judiciary, renowned lawyers, eminent judges, academicians and politicians have time and again visited Bharati Vidyapeeth New Law College. He is known for building international collaboration and designing of era in legal education in the city of Pune. He has been awarded with best teacher award twice and with National Bar Award in the year 2008. He holds various academic and administrative posts in Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University and other Universities.
