NLC: At the forefront of Research

RESEARCH EXCELLENCE

Our academics and researchers engage in cutting-edge theoretical and applied research across a wide range 
of legal areas in collaboration with practitioners, policy makers and the brighter legal intellectual community.
The College is recognized u/s. 2f & 12-B of the University grants Commission Act, 1956. This privilege facilitates our institute to apply for further funding to pursue extensive research in the various emerging areas. As a result, several major and minor research projects coupled with some sponsored seminar are sanctioned by the University grants Commission. It has excellent research amenities available to explore the new avenues in the domain of law and legislations.

We firmly believe in the principle that better research yields better laws.The Following are the special features that make NLC an excellent place for legal research:

1. Recognition u/s. 2f & 12 B of the UGC Act, 1956
2. The Euro-American Legal Study and International Research Centre
3. The International IPR Research Centre
4. BHARATI LAW REVIEW, a peer review law journal.
5. Publication of Books by the Faculty Members
6. One Major research project, five Minor Research projects and two national Seminars exclusively
sponsored by University Grants Commission.
7. Establishment of Planning and Research Board.
8. Publication of research papers in law Journals with high impact factor
9. Collaborative Research with foreign universities, renowned NGOs etc.
10. Research focus on the emerging areas and more emphasis on social issues and social justice etc
11. Research is an essential component of PG and UG Programmes.

  1. I’ve been hearing a lot about this university lately. It seems like a good option. Many of my friends have pursued their graduation here. Going through the placement records of this university, I’m quite certain to take admission here for my masters
